ANSWER: AGE 6
I believe all civilized people would consider that child molestation, right? I was told by a Muslim cleric that on the Arabian desert it was not uncommon to take a child bride. That means that child molestation was common in Arabia, doesn't it? And can any sane, sensitive, person believe otherwise, whatever his religious belief? Some Muslim leaders say that Mohammed did not "take her as his wife" until she was 11 years old; however, no other source reports that to my knowledge. Besides, does that make a difference?

There is definately a question..to bad you suffer from the same Sickness, insanity and death culture that your hero Edvard Munch suffered from.
Get a Hobby? I've got one, it's watching idiots like you apologize and morally equalize anything, even if it's pedophilia to support your platform of hatred.

When Catholic priests molest children there is a law, there is a justice that holds them accountable. The Mullahs ARE the law, justice and the government. So they can do their shameful acts in public and who is going to stop them?

Why do you people always use a wrong to excuse another wrong??? In any case, 2 grown adults having an adulterous affair, may be bad, but it's nothing in comparison to the charge of pedophilia..
Go back to aljazeera.com and get some new material! LMAO!

Bottom line:
Mohammed "indulged the appetites of a man, and abused the claims of a prophet." He was an unprincipled opportunist.

So called "child brides' have taken place thru out time and have been acceptable in many cultures...I suggest you do some research.
If you want to bring religion in....was everyone who married or had sexual relations in the bible 18? I think not.
Then how can one forget LOT, who had sex with his two daughters and impregnating one of them. He is then called a "righteous" man by Peter in the new testament.
So I ask you......does that mean the Bible and Christians support incest and pedophilia?

The age of Aisha at marriage is an unsettled issue, and the subject of increasing attention in recent years. Critics of Muhammad accept the Muslim tradition that she was as young as nine years old when her marriage was consummated and believe this reflects negatively on his character. There are several hadiths (said to have been narrated by Aisha herself) which state she was six or seven years old when betrothed and nine years old when married or when the marriage was consummated [1]. Other traditional material (hadith, sira, etc.) suggests that Aisha may have been anywhere from twelve to nineteen years old when she married.[citation needed] This is discussed in more detail in the main article on the marriage-age controversy.
The marriage was not to fulfill sexual pleasure, that is not saying he didnt love her. IT was a way of legal support for her because she had no other means of it. And remember this was more than 1400 years ago!
Also, supposedly you call this uncivilized. How about people in th west getting married only to be caught cheating or doing other crazy things. Get the full story before you give in to what popular media wants you to believe

The stories vary, but it is all childhood or preteen ages, and thus, you're right. In no intelligent belief system could she have been considered an adult and ready for sex. A religion founded by a child molestor and on killing unbelievers is rightly called violent by the Pope or anyone else.

The answer is absolutely correct. That would be child molestation and it was common in Arabia in the 7th and 8th Century. I don't know about this day and age, but it wouldn't surprise.

At least Mohammed picked a female.
The John Jay study was commissioned 20 months ago by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) in response to hundreds of sex-abuse accusations that were made in nearly every U.S. Catholic diocese. It covered the years from 1950 to 2002 and found 10,667 cases of abuse.
P.S. As you do have questions in your minds about Muslims, we do have especially about churches.
