Do you have an Iron which will reach to the car seat??
If so put paper towels on top of the crayon an iron the towels,
the wax should melt, then blot it up with the paper towels.
Only way I know of, could be quite troublesome to get an iron there without mishap though

If it is WAX Crayon- You can take your iron(Switch it on HOT) via an extension cable.
The Use Brown Packing paper-Put paper on Crayon marks -then Iron !
The heat should draw the pigment and wax out of the seat!

If it's an Ink based crayon-Try Vinegar-Neat on a Cloth-then Rub!! it doesn't Stain or leave foul smells!

Like the others said, if you can, warm iron and either brown paper or paper towels to pick up as much of it as you can.

Then there are a couple of ways to treat the stain:-
someone mentioned GOo Gone, which sounds like De-Solv-It which is a citrus based grease/oil/gum/tar/sticky stuff remover we have here in New Zealand/Australia (a godsend to hairdressers for getting gum out of kids hair!)
But I did see recently on Martha Stewart's show, she used mineral spirits, then isopropyl alcohol the same way on grease spot left after ironing out candle wax. Details are probably available on her website. After using either of these 2 methods, try sponging it with a soapy solution just to get rid of the product and hopefully it will be the end of your stain
Good luck

There's a product called Goo Gone that works well with crayon and lots of sticky or oil/wax/grease substances.

Link goes to their page. Hardware stores tend to carry it, and some grocery stores in their cleaning products or hardware sections.

try ironing it - iron over a papertowel or brown bag - works with a candle which is pretty similar to a crayon
