I need a bittorent program that won't crash my computer or mess it up.

Probably not. I have 4 computers in my house, and all are networked to use the same internet connection. Three connect to the router wireless, and 1 with cable. When BitTorrent is running on one computer no one else can get online because it uses all the available bandwidth. Also when running, the other 5 customers on the wireless network are slowed to a crawl. When BitTorrent is stopped the whole system speeds back to normal.

Try BitTornado.. And make sure you setup your router to forward the appropriate ports, so you get the best possible speeds.
