when did our first naval carrier's start to be built for wwII?

not just our carrier's but plane's etc..

The following link gives a history of Naval Aviation. It looks like the first aircraft carriers were built 20 years before WWII.

all of the carriers were built before the war but The Ranger was the first carrier ever built and it was used in the war. This link will tell you about it.
