He's clearly overrated!

He has a low durability, If he is not supported by a consistent ground game, he turns into an error prone QB.
Pittsburgh can't win if the game rests in Ben's arm.

All the credit should be give to the steelers OL instead of Roethlisberger

In the three games before the Super Bowl, including one where he beat my favorite team (Bengals), Ben was 49 for 72 with 7 touchdowns and one pick, for a QB rating of 124.7. Yes, he had a poor game in the Super Bowl, but he made enough plays to win, and he wasn't the only quarterback to have a bad day in that game.

As for last week against Jacksonville, it was his first full game back after some tough injuries. He was also facing a defense that is among the league's best, and some growing pains are to be expected.

You can't judge a guy by his last two games. And if you do that, then are you admitting that Rex Grossman and David Carr are the league's best quarterbacks? I would think not, at least if you know absolutely anything about football. Ben is a good quarterback, one who plays well within the Steeler's system. It's difficult to argue with his success, and unfair to judge his abilities by looking at a fraction of the games in his career.

Big Ben's a good QB and as for the Steeler's first 2 games of the season, if you'll recall he didn't play in the Miami game because of his appendectomy - Charlie Batch did so the only game he played this season was just monday night against Jacksonville - which if you couldn't tell by his facial expressions was a rough game physically for him
The season's early - keep watching him cuz he and the rest of the Steeler's are gonna bring it again this year

Some people believe he should not have played because he was still recovering from surgery and had flu-like symptoms during the game, we find out later, so not indicative of his talents. I'm not sure what stats you're talking about, but the one that counts is the scoreboard. His leadership lead to a WIN in the Superbowl last season.

It could be definately attributed to the trauma that Ben has encountered in the past 2-3 months. Incase you didn't hear, he almost died in a motorcycle accident when he was in the hospital for several days. Then last month he had his appendix removed due to inflammation. Then just at the end of preseason he hurt his thumb. Also the flu-like symptoms probably didn't help. With all that, I think he did good enough.

He is considered a premiere QB solely because his team won the Super Bowl. His stats reveal the fact that he is completely overrated.

Hmmm.....Undefeated as a rookie starter and youngest QB to win the Super Bowl. Two thing even Marino couldn't do. He also has a 84.375 win percentage.

Because you don't base an evaluation of a player based on two games. He has tremendous accuracy and poise leading to significant completion percentage numbers, low interception numbers and a high winning percentage. I am not a Steelers fan but Ben is a winner.

Well he is the youngest QB to ever win the super bowl...

Low durability???? Are you on crack? He took out a Chrysler and then had someone take out his appendix!!! You`d still be lying around somewhere crying if that happened to you!!!

He has been a winning quarterback and has been able to run an offense that succeeds. He can throw when he needs to and make plays and do things that will cause his team to lose. Big stats can mislead someone to think someone is great as can bad/mediocre stats can mislead you to think someone is bad.
