I can't sleep with closet door open either, or put my feet over the bed. Have done since I was little. I still think it is the "little monster"

I prefer to close the door to my closet but it seems the older I get the less important it is and the easier it becomes to just leave it as it is. Especially if I am already in bed before I notice!

It isn't a fear anymore, but there are still remnants left over from childhood. It's more of a comfort thing now as opposed to a MUST. LOL, I think a lot of adults close the closet doors whether it be out of habit, ritual or just left over feelings from childhood.

Yeah, I'm hella scared of the claw reaching from under the bed so sometimes I get a head start and jump on the bed real fast. The master bathroom and front bedroom doors have to be closed and I turn on the fan in the bathroom for added noise so I can't hear the house creak and make all those weird noises.

You know, I am 54 years old and I still have these unreasonable fears!
I can't sleep with the closet door open and I have to always check to see if there is anyone in there hiding! What if there were? What would I do, if this fear was realized?

I also have to completely check the whole house to make sure there is no one hiding.

I check under the bed for the boogie man!

Amazing! Huh?

I can't sleep with toes out because I get cold. I can't sleep with the closet door open though it creeps me out. If I've just seen a horror movie I would have to say the closet door needs to be open when I enter my room but then I have to shut my room door then the closet door just to be sure I'm gonna be ok.

My god this made me laugh sooo much! There's no way in hell i can sleep with the door open and definitely cant have my feet or arms hanging over the edge. If its really hot, i cant even lay on top of the duvet unless its light outside.

I DEFINITELY can't sleep with the closet door open. I used to have nightmares of some invisible source pulling me into the closet.

Closet door and bedroom door have to be shut and my feet have to be covered. I blame it on the movie industry for making really good scary movies.
