im 24 weeks and got the flu/cold. Is it ok to drink honey with lemon for it ???

Because this lady told me to not to eat or drink anything with honey it causes botulism and could abort your baby..?? IS it true???

Yep honey is fine for you. Once you have the baby you can't give it to them during the first year, but you can have all you want. Hope you feel better soon.

I drank some of that cold and flu stuff when i was prego and i have 6 kids now so it didnt abort any of mine . But if you are really concerned there is a hotline you can call for a 24 hour nurse call the hospital that you plan on going to have the baby at and ask them for the hotline number in your area.

Yes, you should be fine, however if you are drinking it in tea you might want to stick with decaf because caffiene isn't good for your baby.
You can ingest honey but a baby cannot. In this case honey goes through your digestive system and the baby isn't affected by it.

There's nothing like warm milk with honey when you have a cold or the flu..go for it! I did when I was 20 weeks pregnant and had bronchitis..OB said it was just fine! Hope you feel better soon! Good luck! :)

I've never been told that it was a problem. They just advise no Herbal remedies- but Lemon/Honey isn't herbal so it should be fine. I usually put Lemon & Honey in hot water like a tea- feels great on your throat if you have a scratchy throat/cough.

Yep. it's ok.
You just can't give a child under a year old honey. But your body will process any bacteria that might be in it before it gets to your baby.
