It really depends on your personal taste. We love Silk brand soy milk (if you want a less soy flavor - try to "lite" version). However, I have heard that Contenintal 8 (I think that's the name) is pretty good (not a soy tasting beverage).
Also, if you are transitioning from cows milk to soy milk, I recommend viewing it as a totally different beverage, not cows milk - because it's going to taste very different and if you expect it to tast like cows milk you'll be disappointed.

I like soy milk better than rice milk. I think the best tasting brand is Silk - but some flavors are a bit weird. Chocolate is very good and if you use a glass of it as a meal replacement, you feel like you are getting a treat (and you don't have to feel guilty about having chocolate!). They have a coffee flavor which is gross - the vanilla is okay as is the plain, but you have to get used to it. Neither soy or rice milk tastes like real milk in the end.

I like vanilla soy milk by Silk. If you read the ingredients on Continental 8th it has alot of added sugar. I have used rice milk and it is also good but it does taste like rice. My son is allergic to cows milk so all we use is soy milk. Trader Joe's brand of soy milk is also very good.

I think SILK is the best. You may want to start out with the vanilla. It's sweet and is pretty tasty. Then ween yourself to regular. I also like the regular flavor and Ovaltine. Makes very good chocolate milk. None of the soy/rice milks taste like real milk. However, soymilk is extremely good for you. Good luck and a lot has to do with what you like.

Soy milk, to me is WAY better than rice milk. I perfer the vanilla soy milk...just about any brand is fine since they taste the same to me. But easiest to find is Silk.
For rice milk...always get flavored. Its gross otherwise.
