Homosexuality. When I was a kid it was a criminal offense, now women kiss on prime time television and in the movies.

Plural marriage. These people have existed in the US as a culture since at least the 1840s, and in recent years have begun to organize to combat the discrimination against them. My guess is that they will eventually succeed because the laws against polygamy are so blatantly unconstitutional. So much so, that I personally count the anti-polygamy laws as yet another proof that Americans are not mature enough for self-government as evidenced by their chronic inability to read their own Constitution.
The two-party system is of course the Supreme Proof that Americans can't read their own Constitution, but I digress....
If Americans wanted to outlaw polygamy, then all they had to do was amend the Constitution. Given how loathed this practice has historically been among traditional Christians, you have to figure that they could have succeeded in passing this amenment if they'd really wanted to. It would have taken a few years, because the amendment process was designed to be slow, but they could have done it. Instead they went for the stupid solution to their (weird) problem and outlawed it, a perfect quick fix with just one little problem: The US Bill of Rights
Personally as a non-believer in Yahweh-Allah, I have no interest in the religious rationales of most polygamists, but that doesn't change the fact that the Bill of Rights grants them the right to "the Pursuit of Happiness" any damn way they want......

I think incest is the last taboo and it will probably stay that way. I am not advocating it of course. Too much heavy baggage, especially when one of the participants is a minor. It can ruin lives forever in fact! I don't see too much wrong with fantasy (along with masturbation) though. Most of us guys have been sexually attracted to a female family member at least once in our lives. A cousin, sister, niece or even a daughter. I had a very cute sister and some thoughts as a teenager I probably shouldn't have. Nothing sexually ever happened between us though. Oh did I fantasize about her while I jacked off though! (Sorry Sis!). Later a niece became very sexually desirable to me with the same results. This is probably a thing more of us guys experience than the gals and again I want to emphasize that incestuous feelings should NOT go beyond masturbation fantasies. It's the last taboo and probably should remain that way forever in my most humble opinion!

Necrophilia. They're dead already! What's the harm? If we can cut out organs, why can't we get some booty?
(Yes, it's sarcasm. But society is so odd these days, sometimes I fear for the furtue . . . )
PS You could also ask what's accepted now that will become taboo in 20 years. It does happen. Remember all the drug jokes on the early Saturday Night Live? You don't see that as much now . . .
