Body odor varies from person to person. Everyone's body chemistry starts out differently. There are many factors that affect this:
Gender
Age
Diet
Health
Perspiration
Ethnicity
Has anyone actually told you that you stink? I ask because I always felt like I smelled really bad when I had heavy perspiration. However, my wife and my friends all told me that they couldn't smell me. Because its our own odor, sometimes we can smell it when others can't.
Diet often is one of the biggest causes of odor. Too much protein and high fat foods can cause the smell from the breakdown of those foods to be emitted from your pores.
If you have any health problems that you take medications for, those medications could be causing the odor. Also, OTC things such as thermogenic products and other herbal remedies can also cause it.
If its really that severe and others complain about it, you may want to speak with a doctor.

you didn't mention how old you you were; just curious. but you may look at your diet; or whether or not you drink enough fluids such as water, tea or lemonade. water helps to flush the toxins out of our body, it keeps the body well hydrated.
IS your bowel pattern regular? one should have at least one b.m. daily. one would be surprised at how stool can become caked on the intestinal walls over time; some of it from bad diets and infrequent bowel movements. this caked up stool can result in
health problems. There are a lot of people suffering from different diseases because of waste stuck to their colon and their body is soaking up these toxins day after day, month after month... It is just what it says , waste. the longer it lays in there the more bacteria it generates.
a good colon cleansing is good for this and after a thorough cleansing try eating plenty of fruits and veggies and drinking 3-5 glasses of water a day. I know some say 6-8, but generally 3-5
is sufficient. hope this helps some.

Do you eat an excessive amount of red meat? People who do tend to start secreting key tones and smell and since it comes out of every pore in your body, deodorant won't help. Also, a lot of garlic can make you smell. If you eat any stinky food in excess, it will start to make your entire body smell. If none of those are the culprit, I'd go to the Doctor and see what he/she has to say....can't hurt right? Good Luck!

Go to the doctor he will prescribe something that will work for you, at least you are self conscious enough about yourself. I know of people who aren't and there own family can't stand to be around them they stink so bad.

It could be your diet. When you bathe, be sure to use shampoo and soap. Eat vegetables instead of meat for a while to see if this helps. Go to Sams and buy the big bottle of shampoo for those hard to reach areas.
