There are NO muslim areas in the United Kingdom.
There ARE places that muslims live. And there are places that muslims go, places that they will ignore the truth and facts, and law, and common decency. I'm just about fed up with muslims telling me what i can't do or where i can't go. This is my country. The country for which my grandfathers fought and died for. The country for which i would die for. If someone wants to come and tell me what i can do or not do, bring it on!
I think whoever said "How dare you..etc..", has got a damned cheek. I've a feeling his father or grandfather came to this country to find a better life. My guess is he found one. Now we have his son or grandson dictating their effin' demands to us!
How much is a ticket out?...Here, i'll pay for you. SOD OFF!

There is an enormous amount of hate and resentment being generated by a few very stupid and ignorant Muslims.

Most Muslims are not like that but the minority of Muslim morons are trying to agitate the West and they are succeeding.

The West have already committed war crimes in response to terrorism in the mistaken belief that violence can be cured by violence.

If the unequal distribution of wealth, education and opportunity on a global scale had been fairly tackled by the west over the last few decades none of the terrorism or anti Muslim sentiment would have happened.

It's very simple, if the strong oppress the weak, then eventually the weak will fight back any way they can.

Wake up Bush and Blair.

I am amazed at the knee-jerk reactions to this question so far.
There is anti-Muslim feeling even on here, to me that's playing straight into "their" hands.

Nearly every Country has sectarian communities, Northern Ireland probally being the most notorious. Forgive my British ignorance, but isn't the Bronx area of New York a predominately black district? Spain have the Basque region, France have the Latin Quarter, Italy have the Vatican, a city within a city. Many British cities are increasingly becoming fragmented, such is the ecliptic mix of race and religions.

I can understand how this comment has been blown out of all proportion, however the more prejudice people become, the greater the problem.

I'm an American and we're not much better off, but when I learned that Mosques are being built in Scotland (of all places!), I knew the end was near for all of our British cousins. If London isn't already a Muslim city, it will be if present trends continue. It can't be long before Muslims demand a Muslim royal family and replace the Queen with a Sultan or Caliph.

you dont say when, or give a full quote.....
but if someone did utter these words, to the home secretary, he/she should have been arrested, and locked in the "tower" like all traitors to the country.
we are supposed to be a liberal country, not a country that is supposed to bow down to immigrants, and doff our hats to them like they were modern day lords of the manor.......
i say if "you" wanna live here, n b british, then b british, obey our laws, respect the national religion, and sign a pledge to uphold our way of life, failure would lead to deportation, immediately,

Freedom of speech versus freedom of access.
There will always be an outrage to people that say and do things you don't like. Especially when they come to a place that is felt to be the domain of the offended subject. Unfortunate as it is liberty is one of the greatest gifts of democracy. Voicing of opinions from both sides has to be tolerated and access areas to voice opinions in is essential.

The extremist would do well to realise that they have the liberty to voice their opinion in this country. The politicians of our government would also do well to think about rights to access especially after trying to expel their own ageing members from their meetings a while ago.

Perhaps in this instance they would have won more Muslim friends by asking the extremists to stay and debate their issue with a calmer attitude so everyone could join in?

Obviously looking for trouble. Thinks the average Brit. is as liberal as the current government. Is that what he calls integrating?

I hope crispy is being tongue in cheek, otherwise, Danial Lambert will sit on his head to simulate the weight of British anger.

The older i get the more racist i feel i become in my opinions. This is Britain and the incomers ride rough shod over our services, services they would not get in their own countries. They are allowed religious freedom and can dress pretty much as they like. YET if we go to a muslim country we do not have the same freedoms and have to abide by their religious laws. Muslim areas are in muslim countries.

I don't live there so I don't know? But England, is not the USA. It was not a place of tolerance or unification. It was LEFT behind by those who advocated tolerance, racial and religious differences.

Therefore, as far as Jolly old England goes. I don't believe there would be a "Muslem Area." other than to say, it's just an area where lots of them live.

I don't think the Queen recognizes seprate "area's" as anything other than that.

But like I said... I don't know?

If someone doesn't like muslims, then they shouldn't like christians and jew also.
Christianity started in Palestine (Arab Land). Jesus was an arab. Islam Started on arab land. Judaism also started on arab land.

If you want Islam out, then your a hypocrite.

Bush is the biggest terrorist in the world, and is responsible for more deaths than any other person.
