We have these in West Texas! Wind Scorpions is the correct answer, and MAN are they fast!!!!! I had one on the porch, and had a heck of a time trying to kill it, then had to look it up to find out what it was because it was so weird looking! Like a scorpion, but with no claws, and no stinger.

"Children of the Earth" is a literal translation. They are also known as wind scorpions.
