No, I never supported the US war against Iraq. But now that we've occupied it for so long, and there's a civil war, what do we do? Leaving could result in more deaths and instability. On the other hand, should our troops die or even be subjected to horrible war zone experiences for nothing? I don't think anyone can know what is the best solution to this mess. The incompetent ideologue politicians have no judgment, and "stay the course" is not working. Perhaps the military commanders should be allowed to run the show and make the final decisions on this war.

Too vague. Define support.

Do my taxes to the government go towards the war in Iraq?

Yes, however I don't know how little of my taxes go towards it.

Do I think we should be there in Iraq?

Does it really matter? We are there, and I support our troops for doing their jobs over there. Does this mean I support the war? I also feel that Saddam needed to be removed from his position as Iraq's leader. He was a bad man, and so were his son's.

Something needed to be done, or who knows what could have happend. (yes, I know. Nothing could have happened. Then again, with that logic, Something could have happend too.) If Bush would have known how this war would have dragged on (he probably thought it would be like Operation Desert Storm, quick and simple), he may not have invaded. But who knows. I for one support our troops for doing their jobs, whether I believe we should be there or not, I still think civilians should support them for doing what they are told.

Yes I do! And let me tell you why...

many years ago there was a news break where they were announcing Saddam's use of chemical weapons on his own people. At first I thought "why should I care?" Then, they showed pictures taken by the Red Cross. There was one particular one where a little girl, no more than 5 or 6, was clutching her doll in one hand, and her mom's hand in the other. Both mother and daughter were sprawled in the street burned to death by chemicals.

Ladies & gentlemen, let me say this... if you do NOT believe SOMEONE... ANYONE... should have gone in and removed this evil man from power, you are not human! These atrocities could not continue. Forget whether or not Saddam could or would have successfully orchestrated a terrorist attack on the U.S. Even if the answer is 'no', this man still had to be removed from power!

Now that he has been removed, our President wants to stay the course and introduce democracy and civil rights to this area, in order to create a lawful civilization. Good for him! Our history in the past is that we remove one tyrant, then pull out, then allow another far worse to take his place. Manuel Noriega in Panama comes to mind! Thank goodness President Bush wants to do this one right and not pull out leaving a vacuum that we'll have to revisit in 20 years! I hate the toll this is costing, but lets blame Saddam and other terror madmen, not our President!

Good question,

No i dont - The question to ask now is when will it stop?

In my opinion it will take many years for the US and there Allies to totally pull there forces out of Iraq, and the longer it goes on the closer they edge to civil war.

Sad.

Feel bad for the troops. Support them. Not the war itself. Never should have happened. The pres lied to us. Again.

no, the war ended a couple years ago with capture of saddam and the implementation of a new elected government. all the u.s. is doing now is occupying iraq and trying to help stabilize it and protect u.s. interests, but it seems like the opposite is happening.

No. But I do support the effort to bring the troops home from a place where they are fighting an unjust war for greed.

Will you support the War in the USA?
If we don't stop them there where?
West Va.?
St.Lewis?
Denver?
They started this. 9/11 same as Pearl Harbor.
Should we have waited and fought the Jap's in Oregon?
We can't afford to be pacifists. Every one is jealous of the US
and ether wants us to give them all we have or they want to destroy all we have so then we will be their equal.
Back the troops over there,,or you will be joining with them over here.

I support our poor troops misguidedly shipped out there by this greedy, oil baron, war criminal administration. But I want our boys & girls home ASAP! These cowardly Iraqis don't wanna stand up for themselves... they'd rather we do it for them so they don't apply themselves to the task. The only way is to FORCE them to do so by leaving.

I saw actual footage showing all these Iraqi soldiers columned up & ready to march to their mission. Then when their commander told them they'd be going to one of the worst parts of the country, teaming w/ insurgents, they all started stripping off their uniforms & equipment, yelling "I QUIT!!" in whatever dog-lapping language they yowl out there. F'n lazy, weaselly, cowardly dooshbags.

GET OUR KIDS HOME!!!!

God Bless America

.... and IMPEACH that @$$hole, Bush!!!

no and being exforces myself i think they should drop bombs on Iraq and Afghanistan like they did at Hiroshima and like Dresden during WW2. Flatten the country and everyone in it pull our troops out, sod the humanitarians and then let them sort their own bloody problems out
