The answers telling you to only do it every other day and not more often because you're lowering your husband's sperm count are based on outdated information. Even though it may be slightly lower the next day, the overall count of sperm is still higher because you're doing it more often. (EX: 10 million one day, 7 million next day, 6 million next day equals 23 million, vs. 10 million one day, 0 the next, 10 million the next day equals 20 million). On top of that, whoever said doing it daily reduces the quality of the sperm is just plain wrong. In fact, while it may slightly decrease the quantity, it actually INCREASES the quality. Think of them as being more "fresh". (I'll try to find some links for you on this one in a minute.)
You should be doing it as often as possible in the 3-4 day window before ovulation. At least once a day, even twice every now and then wouldn't hurt. The more you do it, the more sperm there will be available, the higher your chances.
If you still haven't conceived after a year of trying (or 6 months if you're over 35) you should seek help. Good luck!

If your husbands sperm count is normal...you should be able to have sex 1x a day. However...it will lower the cc count of sperm by doing it this way. If you continue not to get pregnant doing the every day...then you need to try something different. A doc told me when the monitor shows your two peak days to save up for those two days...and the day after. Also...remember you need good cervical fluid to help you. There's no test. You have to physically check. The more egg white it is the better. There have been a few studies about the Plain robotussen to help increase fluid...you'll find by tooling on the web. As for positions...well anything gravity friendly would be the most ideal. Although...you'll get mixed messages on which is "the" very best. I wouldn't be on top during my fertile phase...that's just me. And i've been keeping my legs up after...who know's if that old wives tale is true either. but ...you do what you can to increase your odds, right. Good luck.

Try not having sex for three days before you most fertile day according to your fertility monitor. If you have sex more often, while fun, your husband's sperm count are actually not as high. Also, I have heard that if you want to conceive that the female should actually not orgasm as there are acids that are produced that kill sperm. I don't know if it is true or not. As for positions, not on top. Lie on your back with your hips raised to increase the amount of ejaculate that gets to your cervix.

well here are a couple facts first:
Having sex more than once a day will not help your chances. Every time a man ejaculates in a women the sperm can live for up to five days. So once a day is plenty. Also pee kills sperm so instead of heading for the bathroom, fall asleep. It sounds like there is more stress about sex than there should be. Also keep in mind if all you want out of sex is a baby then it will not work. Do not have sex, make love instead. If you are making love to your hubby then you will relax and so will he. Doing this will allow more sperm to do its job and be able to get to where it needs to easier.

Well, I can see the reasoning why it would increase your chances. I have a friend in this postion too. They went to Dr after Dr, all kinds of fertility treatments, and still couldn't have kids. They were both checked out and there was nothing wrong with either of them... It just wasn't mean to be I guess. Maybe you are trying to hard. I mean I've heard of it happening before. Try adoption. I've heard of many people who get pregnant when they have another child. I think it ' takes their minds off it ' I mean having sex for the sole purpose of having kids kind of takes some of the enjoyment out of it doens't it?

how long have you been monitoring? I agree with above and you should have sex every other day, this way it gives time for your hubby's sperm to regenerate.
If that doesn't work, then maybe you could see your doctor about getting some testing to make sure everything is ok. I am doing that now (ttc for 5 months). I have gotten an ultrasound and some bloodwork. The next step will be to have my hubby checked out

I would have sex with him at least every other day or two. The sperm has to rejuvinate itself after each ejacualtion. My husband and I did it 2 days before and a few days after in between the ovulation cycle, and probably tonight too. Good luck!

you must realise that with continous intercourse the quality of semen that your husband produces reduces. it would be better to have a 24-48 hour gap between episodes for optimal sperm production. on the other hand the man on top position is the best for conception as the cervix is bathed with the semen as it is released. avoid petroleum based lubricants ( infact as much as possible lubricants generally) cos they make the spermatozoa sluggish and you don't want that as they already have quite an obstacle course to go through.
most importantly, relax and enjoy yourself that is the best way to get pregnant; worry practically reduces your fertility as a couple. wish you all the best.

actually sex once every OTHER day starting about 10 days after the first day of your last period is better. Having sex too often can lead to Low-sperm count in your husband.
