rabbits don't really spread any diseases that I know of. Rabbits are Lagamorphs , not really rodents. Domestic rabbits should be free of diseases that could pose a threat to us and usually make good pets

Rabbits are NOT rodents! They are of the family scientifically named Lagomorph. Not a rodent. And domestic rabbits DO NOT spread disease. Even wild rabbits are not known for this and they are an important part of the food chain.

first of all, rabbits are not rodents. any type of animal, that is either wild or not vaccinated can spread disease to other animals. owning a rabbit is very similar to owning a cat. my rabbits are litter trained. they sleep on the sofa with the dogs. groom each other and the cats as well.
i for one think you should become more informed about something before you ask questions like these.

Rabbits aren't rodents. All animals, and humans have the potential to carry diseases.

First, rabbits aren't rodents.
Second, all animals have the ability to spread disease, even cats and dogs, so your question shouldn't be limited to just rabbits.

Not all "rodents" spread disease. I have a pet rat and mouse that are both perfectly healthy. Animals are great companions!

During times of war, rabbits saved many from starvation. They breed rapidly, eat anything and taste great. As children during the second World War, I suppose we had rabbit four times a week. Roasted, boiled, fried - you name it, we had it. A special treat for the youngest was the head. Mom would break it like a hard boiled egg and the child would eat the cooked brain. True...
Recently in the mountains of North West Italy, we had rabbit three or four times. It was the first time in about forty years I have had it and it was beautiful..............
