Can't blame you, the world is addicted to petroleum in more than one form. However, I'd say that you should look into buying more economically smart products like Hybrid cars, carpooling, or taking public transportation, to lessen the amount you use. Eventually they will hopefully ween us off of these products, but honestly not only are we giving money to terrorists, but the U.S. makes money out of it as well because terrorists aren't the only producers of oil or petroleum based products so is the U.S. so it created jobs, and because we are so petroleum hungry the big whigs are getting revenue up the wazoo. Now they should create jobs by creating other things our cars/vehicles/mechanics can run off of. The resource would be the job creator. Eventually evolution should occur here as with everything else that has become outdated and a new thing has taken its place.

It is shame that driving a gas guzzler, could have ANYTHING to do with patriotism. But the sad truth is, any gas you buy, in which the oil originated from Lebanon, Syria, and especially Iran, will yield huge profits for their radical regimes, and that these profits WILL undoubtably, be used against our military in our war on terror. In my opinion, having a hummer is not the problem. Even if you drive a corolla, or other econmic car, if you buy your gas from a station that sells middle eastern gasoline, then you are bankrolling a terrorist regime. This is America, and we can still drive what we please. Likewise, this is America, and we can buy gas from who we chose. I looked it up on the internet, and found that Exxon is the leading buyer of middle eastern oil. From this moment forward---no Exxon gas for me thank you! Enjoy your Hummer---buy American gas---it costs the same.

Right on tell them terrorists to keep their oil. Then you wont have to pretend to be fighting terrorism ( when you are really trying to secure oil reserves which are rapidly dissapering in your own country.) and your children will be able to remain at home in peace . remove the root and kill the weed.
