This is the 5th nearly identical question I've answered on this issue in the last 5 mins.

Pat R. had it right. Hugo needs to be relieved from the pressures of his command. His people need to wake up (the only sensible ones are coming here).

And, the US definitely needs to get the heck out of the UN. On that, Hugo and I agree.

No.

I find Chavez is becoming more and more of an irrelevant "Castro Jr" as he alienates not just Americans but people in his own country and outside it particularly those with the ability to invest in the Venezuelan economy and help its people.

Someone needs to tell that cornball that nobody really takes Che Guevara politics seriously ... atleast nobody who matters. Its funny because there is not one economist who'd openly support his tyrades against international trade and commerce. Howelse does he expect to get finished products for Venezuela if they don't engage in world markets? How are Venezuelans gonna live, what will they live on? Are they gonna shut their boarders and only eat the bannanas that they grow and drink the oil that they produce? If trade makes countries poor then someone oughtta try explaining Canada the US, Asia Pacific and the EU.

Yes I understand that wealth concentrates in the hands of a few however the distribution of that wealth is the business of the government in question. How they attempt to do such is also their business. Two things from this though are clear, first; the heavy handed tactics first employed by Chavez to wrest wealth from those who have/produce it backfired (hence his sour grapes attitude to commerce) and secondly you can't redristribute that which you do not produce.

Take another look at the context of this man's speech. I am so glad that President Bush had enough class to conduct himself in a distinguished and professional manner showing concern and leadership instead of using childish bad-mouthing like Mr. Chavez. I guess there is no dealing with uncivilized peoples.

Chavez is a mental Eunuch... worse than Dubya!!! Why do you even bother asking questions that are so irrelevant to peace? Chavez is a megalomaniac in par with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad; he's nothing more than a tyrant enriching his hidden bank accounts overseas like all demagogues from South and Central America and Caribbean countries have done... open open your eyes and see for yourself.

Shivers...

Feel free to go join Mr Chavez in Venezuella. You are a citizen of the United States and you condone what Chavez had to say? He does not want your country to exist. Can you comprehend that?

You are a shining example of ignorance. Well, along with raga and athene. You people waste good air.

I can guarantee the president is not the devil just as Chavez is not God.

He does bring up some valid points but shows his contempt for free democracy and the fight against terrorism! I like his comment about the UN though!!!!!

Chavez is a low class, populist, ghetto, naco scumbag. I am so sick of hearing him talk and I don't understand why every time he opens his mouth he gets media attention. Just pay attention to yahoo news of the day, he is always popping up in there. It is a shame we ended political assassinations.

Chavez is a raving lunatic, suffering from paranoid delusions of grandeur and self-importance. Watch Venezuela, which used to be a beautiful country, decline into the typical destitution of socialism.

He is repeating (in his own words) what Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said. Except Mahmoud Ahmadinejad believes the USA is the "Great Satan" and we should all be dead... So my answer is no, I don't agree. But of course this is America so you can agree if you want to..

More or less, "devil" is a bit of a compliment, over the top I suppose.
But what he said about his policies and the UN is totally right.
I am only mystified that some people seem to think he is more ridiculous than babybush.
