This is a public forum maintained by a commercial entity (Yahoo!) and supported by the free speech of both parties (Questioner and Answerer). If the Answerer provides information which is protected under intellectual property rights laws (registered patents, trademarks, servicemarks, copyrights) or trade secrets to which you would not otherwise normally be privy to, or insider trading information only to you and do so in a jurisdiction which you are subject to, then you should not expect to use such ideas without incurring the potential for future civil claims and/or criminal actions against you. Read also the terms of use on your Yahoo! account as the access to this forum is governed on your side by such terms. Also, if you have any other contractual relations or legal obligations limiting you in your personal life (perhaps noncompetition agreements, nondisclosure agreements, work-for-hire contracts, creative license agreements, art contracts, acting contracts, union contracts etc..), then your ability to use such ideas might be subject the the ability of others to influence or benefit therefrom. Finally, make sure that the implementation of any such ideas is legal in the jurisdictions in which you plan to operate or otherwise properly licensed, unless you are exercising a civic duty to challenge unfair or illegal statutes and laws by your actions (and reasonably expect to win such a challenge, I'd hope).

No, you would not be liable if you use the ideas presented in the forum for your personal gain. If anybody felt some idea was their intellectual property, then they should not be exposing it here at an open forum. So go ahead pal, use the ideas here and gain personally. All the best.

You would be liable to no one. I have used this site to test jokes and ideas for a play I'm writing. If someone were to see it one day and recognize a line or two that's too bad for them.
Unless the idea you were using was patented already or had a specific copyright then you could not be held liable.

Have a great day!!!

There's not too much knowledge that you could use for personal gain, except for baby questions
nonsense and foul language.

Nobody has copyright to an answer unless it has been copied from another registered source.

That would probably depend on to what extent you used someone else's idea.
