I have been going braless for a few months now because mine broke and with all my bills I cannot afford to buy a new one. Is it bad for my boobs not to be in a bra?

I think that going bra-less can cause severe back pains. So I would not recommend it. However, your supposed to sleep without a bra because, apparently it helps them grow to be open a little bit for some hours during the day. You can go to Wal-Mart and buy cheap bras which only cost about 5 or 6 dollars, and they are not bad quality either. Good luck and be well. You AND your breasts!

Which brings to mind the question, "Why do we wear bras in the first place... because it's socially unacceptable not to?"

Women wearing bras 24 hours a day have a 3 out of 4 chance of developing breast cancer, as opposed to a 1 out of 168 chance for those who rarely or never wear a bra. The bottom line seems to be, the longer you wear a bra, the greater the risk to your health (Source: abcnews).

Did you know that in Sub-Saharan Africa, the death rate from breast cancer is 3 per 100,000, compared to 20 per 100,000 in industrialized countries? Guess which part of the world wears bras? (Source: Women's Environment and Development Organisation).

Another favorite argument for wearing bras seems to be the notion that it prevents sagging.
Well, girls, surprise, surprise, there's no medical reason to wear a bra (The Complete Book Of Breast Care by Niels H. Lauersen, M.D., Ph.D., & Eileen Stukane). A mistaken popular belief maintains that wearing a bra strengthens your breasts and prevents their eventual sagging. But you sag because of the proportion of fat and tissue in your breasts, and no bra changes that (Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book by Susan M. Love, M.D. ) Going bra-free can actually cause breasts to sag less (Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book by Susan M. Love, M.D.).

Well, bras have been around for less than 100 years! During the Renaissance corsettes were worn not to hide, but to expose the breast. Before then, all the way back to Adam and Eve, there was nothing simply put, nothing. Interestingly, there seems to be direct correlation between the popularity of bras and the rise of capitalism. Yes, bras are fashionable, aren't they?

Recent research has shown a strong connection between the wearing of bras and benign fibrocystic lumps, cysts and pain.

Tight bra straps can cause headaches or neck pain.

Now, with that said....... the choice is yours.

It is not decent for a lady to walk around town braless. It would definitely create a bad impression for any lady to leave her breasts dangling for all to imagine.

Within the privacy of a home, it is ok but in the public it is improper. A lady should comport herself always, that way she will always be repected and not taken advantage of.

Are you even a real girl? Sounds like some guy pretending to be a guy to get other girls to talk about boobs.

In any case, the longer you go without a bra the more saggier your boobs get.

I am only 16, but I hate wearing bras so go without as often as I can. I don't think there is anything wrong with it. Although I am only a B cup - if I was bigger it may be more of a problem.

Manufacturers supported the benefits of wearing them (go figure), but medical professionals claim that wearing one restricts the movement of the breasts, which actually helps sag them due to lack of use, and in addition to doing the opposite, not wearing one also help to purge toxins from the body.

Yes, the breast cancer rates keep increasing, and I think it's partly due to the Growth Hormones that are given to the animals (cows, pigs, chickens) in Canada and the US.

Also, taking the birth control pill will increase your chances of getting breast cancer. This from a CBC tv report in Canada by Wendy Mesley, a reporter with the CBC. She herself had breast cancer. I think the program it was shown was "Market Place"

No - I think braless women in thin tops and erect nips are hot. I love the way they jiggle and bounce.
