That would be the essence of man at age what 19-21 maybe. Imagine if you would for a moment your father in his recliner about what maybe 25 years ago. He was at that age and probably was in the military and had that ripped body and the good skin and he was all that. So was your mother by the way. Now advance time about 25 years. You are all grown up and you're watching a commercial saying this is the essence of man. Sure if you're 19-21 but we can't stay that age forever. Time is good to some folks and not so good to others. Some people spend tons of money and time trying to ward off the ravages of time on their bodies. Just look at some of the programs on tv.
Nip/tuck is a good one. People having surgery on their bodies to make them look younger. You'll learn it's what's inside that really counts. He is your dad have some respect for him. I'm sure he still sees you mother as that hot babe he married long ago. Look at yourself in the mirror when you're his age and compare yourself with a picture from now. You may be surprised at what you see.

Hey! That's a two way street, sister. They do the same thing with women.

Sadly, they mostly use these homely women who have the figure of a twelve year old boy. Case in point: Paris Hilton. What an ugly, little skank she is.

Real women have curves and I'm all for taking a slow ride up around the bend.

You have to ask yourself if you want the good looking guy for the little amount of time you may have him, or do you want the man that will be with you forever and stand by you through thick and thin and yeah maybe he doesn't look like a model all hot and everything, but he will look at you like you are a supermodel for the rest of your life and thank god everyday that you are with him and love him.

Yeah, well, you know... The essence of woman can be even more scary. Sad but true, this is what we'll all turn into unless we're prepared to commit suicide at 35.

LOL-men will just get older, yes. It's my belief though that when you really love someone and have come to realize that looks aren't everything, you'll even realize that the man in the recliner is still the man for you. I bet when your Mom looks at him, she still sees that gorgeous young hottie she fell in love with.

Sad commentary on out society, believing what we see in a TV add.

Life is what you make it, with age, like another poster said, gravity affects us all. With age you slow down, so yes, I guess you can look forward to enjoying a nap in your old age.

I think when you're in love with someone, they always look the way you did when you first met them. Wrinkles are cute on a couple who have experienced life together and are growing old together. Think positive!!

LMAO!!! Yep, it's really truly what we have to look forward to. But, by that stage, you are supposed to love them "for better or for worse" & you overlook the fact that your hot bodied stud isn't anymore!! Of course, we've sagged & drooped too - or at least I have!! lol
