If the pope is to be tried by an islamic country which one should it be. I dont think it should be Iran or Saudi Arabia as they would probably execute him for being a heretic, where as Egypt or pakistan might just commute it to life imprisonment.

since the pope's unfortunate quotation from a 600 year old text for which he has apologised profusely,we have witnessed a steady stream of abuse from Muslims all over the world Surely its about time the christian-view point was allowed to be expressed. It should be said that the attacks on the popes integrity and the suggestion that he,in any way, intended his statement to be an insult to the prophet Mohammad is slanderous, not only to the pope personally ,but to the whole Catholic Church. To even suggest the pope had any malice towards the Muslim faith is untrue. The pope, whose morality and virtue are beyond question,is the most holy leader of an ancient religion.these unfounded accusations are an affront to the Pope's honour and should be soundly condemned by the Catholic church. I also find it utterly incompatible that Muslims all over the world,in order to demonstrate their outrage at being labelled violent, resort to the most horrific and disproportionate violence themselves, including rioting, inciting murder ,burning effigies and fire bombing churches

I don't think that should be done. That is so unnecessary and extreme in these times. The Pope only has to answer to God for judging others. Benedict should should be treated as all old people that say such things. Be the better person by making your feelings known to him and then ignore him. I say this because I didn't agree with his comments either and I am a Christian.

No country. In absolutely no way, shape, or form is any Islamic law or fatwa, anywhere, pronounced by anybody, or written any place have any authority over Pope Benedict XVI, who is not subject to the laws of any Muslim country. He is subject only to laws of the Vatican, and he is not a Muslim. Where do you get the idea that he should be tried elsewhere?

The Pope only answers to God. Such a shame that your religion cannot say the same thing. How could it when the founder had a seven year old wife?

when did people start being tried in a court of law for quoting from a book, or even having their own opinion? I think that God, whatever his name may be in our different languages, can judge the Pope and all the rest of us without any of our help.

The Pope made an inappropriate comment which he apologised for, It just shows how idiotic a few of the Muslim fanatics are They can make abusive comments about every infidel religion they wish but if we say something they don't like they start screaming their knickers off, burning effigies and rioting. why don't they get a life.
I won't let them intimidate me
