For the last week I have had a sharp pain in my jaw on its right side whenever I would open my mouth wide, and then shut it. I could open all the way fine but when I shut is when the pain came.
It has now been a week and it is still there, and I woke up this morning with my ear on the right side plugged and can only partially hear out of it. How can I fix these!

I went to see the Doctor. Apparently the Jaw just "hurt", and the ear is plugged becuase of sinus and allergey issues (which I do have more than usual right now). Im skeptical at the fact the two are not related, but I will just have to wait and see, and hope this doctor was right.

i had this happen a few months ago my self. when i went to the doc, he told me my jaw was hurting because i have a ear infection. he said what happens is the infection go basically down your jaw line and makes your jaw hurt. i told him that my jaw hurt 1st and then my ear got plugged up. he said a jaw ache or tooth ache is one of the 1st signs of an ear infection. go see your doc right away to get it cleared up befor it really bad. hope this helps you out.

It's me, Dr. Nick! Hi, everybody! ("Hi, Dr. Nick!")
You have what we in the medical profession call an ear problem. Or, maybe a sinus problem. Or some kind of minor infection. Or it could be rabies.
Drink some cheap whiskey and sleep for a few days. Either it will go away, or you'll have a MAJOR infection!
(If you'd rather not be treated by Dr. Nick, see about a local Doctor. You know, a real one.)
Good luck!

It could be a couple of things, but both would require antibiotics. Have you had any dental problems lately? Impacted wisdom tooth, could be one problem, a tooth abcess could be another, build up of ear wax, but I'm banking on early symptoms of an ear infection. Time for a drs. visit before it gets worse.

Sounds a lot like an infected tooth.
Earlier this year my 19 y/o had a similar incident - painful jaw and earache. She was able to get in to see the dentist before the MD, thankfully... because the molar tooth needed a root canal. The dentist gave her anti-biotics and pain med.
Bottom line: Go see your dentist.

Since Your Have Mentioned That One Side Of Your Face Hurts Then I Feel That You Have Not Been Sleeping Right, or the pillow is not suitable for you, I suggest that you should try changing your pillow it might help, initally you might find it difficult to adjust but you'll get the hang of it.

it sounds like a serious ear infection that is spreading into the jaw area and causing TMJ. get the ear treated quickly. you dont want TMJ to flare up out of control. its incredibly painful and can stop you from eating for weeks. i used to have bad TMJ, its not fun eating only baby food for 4 weeks. mine was usually set off by ear infections.
