You are kind of vague here friend, but I am going to assume you mean Yahoo!
to change an avatar picture on Yahoo you need a 360 page. if you have one of those then you go to edit my personal photos option and go from there. your image must be a jpeg type file and it is not problem. just follow the instructions when you get the edit page pulled up.
edit I just checked and you don't have a 360 page and you need one to change your avatar. All of these options can be found on your Q&A page. You can sign up for 360 and it will show you how to get an avatar as well as use a photo. good luck

I actual have short hair, sparkling pores and skin, brown eyes, large smile, comparable gender; a majority of those are undemanding between me and my avatar. I actual have black hair, fringe, thicker brow(no longer yet subtle), purple iris of eyes(being too lots on Yahoo; L), a pointy jaw, and a lots fiercer look, a majority of those are distinctive between me and my avatar. wish i did no longer stressful you with my look! it incredibly is this form of a White Wizard!

if they only accept URL's for your avatar upload your image to www.photobucket.com after you have signed up for a free account and then underneath the image you uploaded should be a URL.

Yout need to use a service like http://www.flickr.com to host your picture. Then you can link to it or display it on your website.
