I don't know your age or if you are sad in general. But I don't feel you are sad because you stay in over the weekend and like to save your money. But the important thing is how do you feel? If you're happy/content with your life then you shouldn't worry about what others may think. If you feel that you are missing out on something or your life is lacking something more fulfilling, then by all means get out and mingle. Don't be too hard on yourself because of what you imagine other people may be thinking. I like being at home, I am at peace enough that I can enjoy my own company. Once in awhile if I feel like going out, there's no harm in that. I think it's all about individual taste and personalities.

You are the one that gets to decide when you are sad. As far as not going out over the weekend, that is a personal choice. Many people young and old choose to stay in. Many old sad people go out and try to buy a friend at the club. That is very sad. If you are good with it, that is all that counts. I can appreciate the fact that someone likes to stay home and totally relax on occasion with out all the insanity of the world bothering them.

It's always good to act according to your feeling and taste. Bubble bath and early night sound much better than going out and feeling bored.

Do you work all week, or a full time parent, wife or student? If so, then I don't blame you for wanting to relax. I used to go to parties all the time and spend money to hang out and was tired of the same routine. Give yourself credit at least you are doing things on your spare time to get rest, save money, and taking care of yourself.

i'd say do what makes you happy! i like to stay in too cuz i pay alot of money to have a beautiful house so i spend as much time as possible in it, and anyway, it's too cold and wet these days to enjoy going out, jammies and baffies all the way. maybe a little glass of wine...
