No- I have tried a few different kinds- I've got two plugged in at home right now and neither of them have kept spiders, silverfish, centipedes, earwigs or any other insect from invading my home. The best defense is a cat. They kill anything that moves. I have two (Figaro and Rosina) and have found many a dead bug in the morning after their midnight hunting expeditions. They also alert you by staring up at the ceiling where there is a spider crawling silently over your head right now!
Did I make you look? lol
Have a great day!!!

I have never personally used an electronic pest repeller, but I have heard that they attract more pests than they kill.

They work great if you are the manufacturer or seller of these items. If you are the user, however, you would be better off going around with a flyswatter.

no. i tried a cheap one, then i tried a slightly more expensive one.
the idea is that they transmit some kind of high frequency that is uncomfortable or intolerable to the insects. (i have spiders)seems reasonable, sort-of, but for the record. it didnt work at all.
