My daughter is susposed to be reading this book for school - what are some questions I can ask her about the book (and the answers to the questions please) so I can make sure she has read it.

Thank you for your help "Johnslat"!

As for everyone as that told me to read the book, or to leave her alone if she did not read it - well whatever!!!!!! My daughter is a freshman in high school - it is not my responsibilty to read her books along with her - she is to old for that!!! My responsibility is to make sure she goes to school, that she is learning, and doing her homework.

I am an avid reader - as is my husband and oldest daughter - my youngest is another matter! I do have to watch her on this issue! I was not asking for parenting advice from complete strangers.

Two options:
- If the book is not that big you can read it yourself, this way you'll really help her undestand the importance of reading and not being lazy.
- If the book is too big or if you definitaly don't want to read it, in this site http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/adaynopigs/ you can find the context, plot overview, character list, etc. You can choose what you think is more important.

U shouldnt ask her any questions to test weather she had read that one...

U should find her whether she is interested in that first, if she is interested obviously she will read so u no need to make her read that..

If she is not interested in that book , u should tell somthin nice and good about the book and make her like the book...

Don disturb children or punish any cause..it wil affect mentally...

Best of luck..

I suspect you are masquerading as your own mother, dear. If not, then Mom, YOU can read the book (it's a quick read) and ask questions.
