Post graduation in civil engineering from VJTI ,Mumbai. Working in government in water supply and sanitation. There seems little scope as a technical person but increased as managerial role due to chage in policy of govenment . Wish to shift the career through management.Need genuine Help and guidence in slection of proper course and institute w.r.t. present above mentioned condition.

Please enquire whether your employers can sponsor you for the course also do mention that you are ready to bear the course fee of the course,Then may be you stand a chance of not only getting where you want to go but also having officially done the one you aspire to do.My sincere advise to you is if at all you do MBA do it from any IIM's only.

Hi Sharad, Here some friends have suggested you to join IIM Ahmedabad, definitely its a dream for everyone to join the IIM Institution. But It is hard to crack the entrance and get top score in the competitive exams. If you are current working with any company then you should opt for online courses. If you are planing the join any reputed institution for regular MBA study then it is appreciable because knowledge is superior then certification. I am not advocating any "well-advertised" or "well-marketed" institutes - which are showing you the glory of past and their lovely premises but what I suggest you to personally examine the educational standards and placement history of any institute before finalize. I have only experienced "UnitedWorld School of Business" a well-famed private institute which offers quality learning and best placements in leading companies.

i guess best one for u in this condition would be gettin a managerial degree from IIMs.. there r special Executive packages for workin employees in IIMs ..i guess they r called some fraternity classes..just enquire abt it ..n do it..itll help u out..all the best.. just check any IIMS website..like www.iimb.ernet.in/ this is for b'lore
