To people who have an HND they are graduates, because they go through a graduation ceremony.
To those of us who have our degrees it means Has No Degree.

the HND (Higher National Diploma) is generally equivalent to completing the second year of an undergraduate (first degree) course. Sometimes someone leaving the uni at the end of second year may take the HND award.
It is neither u/g or p/g but is a qulification which can lead to an undergraduate degree.
the HND can be attained through two years at a further education college.

U are not a post graduate and neither a undergraduate. HND is not equivalent to a degree although some people argue it is. U still have to complete one year of study to get your degree.

You've graduated your HND. Not the same as receiving a degree however. For degree purposes you would be an undergraduate.

neither - you're a graduate. if you carried on studying for a masters or a phd you're a postgraduate. if you haven't collected your hnd yet you're an undergraduate. If you have your hnd but went back to uni to turn it into a bachelor's degree you were a graduate but went back to being an undergraduate.
