also we had both computers woking now only one we have a router etc... and still nothing

Install Java and then try to connect, this should sure solve your problem. download from java.com

Click tools, at the top of the page, then internet options-click advanced tab--close to the bottom of the scrolling-be sure that --use SSL-2.0
use SSL3.0
use TLS1.0
are checked..

does the internet in general work? check several "normal" websites.

If yes, then your problem is with security, i believe, you may need to change your router seurity settings.

same thing happened to me when my symantec internet security expired, it really sucks to be inconvenienced like that
