When a man violates his vows he justly gets cleaned out for his moral short coming, but when his wife cheats, he gets cleaned out for hers, why then be faithful, marriage vows aren't worth the time it takes a priest or minister to administer the worthless promises in today's modern society. There should be penalties for violating the contract you vowed to before God, family and friends. But hey I guess this is progress..........

You're right...marriage vows aren't taken seriously anymore. Unfortunately, it seems only for that moment. Although, there are exceptions. I know someone that cheated on her husband, and out of guilt left everything to him.
There are penalties from God. It's one of the 10 Commandments...thou shalt not commit adultery. It's God they have to answer to.

I'm sorry for you.
Unfortunately the laws are set up to protect women when it comes to separation. It used to be that women stayed home and men worked so if the marriage ended she would have no means of support. The laws haven't caught up yet.
It's the same thing when figuring child support. Since men tend to earn more money, they tend to pay more support. Sorry.

The progress is ongoing...for the one who cheated will continue to be unhappy until they repent and are reborn through Christ!
The one who was cheated on has to learn what forgiveness is and learn to trust again and through Faith in Christ this can be done. Yes there is no magic to this equation...all is a progress!

not enough people think about what happens if they get caught, they think it will never happen.

You have to be prepared and ready for hell to break loose when you get caught, and formulate a battle plan.
