If people have differences in genetics according to their race, why is skin color seen as the only difference?

Skin color is a superficial difference. Everyone has the same genetic makeup, variations in arrangement and coding make us all different. Race is really just a term we use to lump people together who appear to share the traits associated with a particular pattern of genetic arrangement and coding.

Skin color is not a definite way to tell someones race.

i.e Some races come in all shades because of constant mixture with other cultures. Specifically black and Latinos. So that's why many are asked what is your culture. If you turn to any Latino chanel you will see some news casters and telenovela stars that are blond and blue eyed that without that last name or accent would be considered white.

Also the Asian culture has the distinct slanted eyes. Mind you not all are exact. i.e It is easy to differentiate Filipinos from the other Asian cultures.

Also there are Indians from India, the country, that have skin as dark as some Black people. But their distinct facial features and hair can typically differentiate them from Black people.

I personally think culture is used these days more than race. There is a popular black star who is bi racial and had a child with a Caucasian male and her child physically looks absolutely Caucasian. And lets not forget Beyonce. She is black by her own words. Some of her physical features would question that.

So culture I think these days differentiates groups more accurately.

Because it is the most visually obvious. Other differences may not be as pronounced, so people may overlook them.
