I care about Steve Irwin. He was a great man that did some great things for the sake of animals. A lot of people thought some of his antics were a little crazy, but a lot of other 'animal guys" came out because of him. He should be remembered for all the great work that he did while he was alive.

I feel bad when any vital public figure is cut down in the prime of his life with still so many lessons to teach us. He was also the father of two young children. His daughter,by the way, seems to have the same spirit and I bet will carry on in the same business.
Personally it doesn't affect my life but I am sympathetic to his family

I cared, he did a lot to show people the world of animals. I believe those that watched his shows gained knowledge. He was like the modern day Marlin Perkins. I will miss that!

Ok, call me cold, but I am sick and tired of hearing people say how tragic the "Crocodile Hunter's" death was. Wasn't the whole attraction of the show watching how close he came to death? He goes prancing around the jungle poking dangerous animals with sticks. Then he puts on shows at zoos where he drags crocodiles around and puts them on display for all the fat tourists. And he is such a conservationist? I don't call capturing animals in the wild then sticking them in a zoo to do stupid pet tricks very animal friendly. Not to mention him dangling his baby in front of a croc. And they call Jacko Whacko? Then, heaven forbid, his stupid antics get him killed. What a national loss. People only watched that show in hopes to see him get eaten. You got your wish people!!! Why is everyone so sad? I am only disappointed that he didn't, in fact, get killed by a crocodile. They needed some revenge for having him poke them so much. And where is the tape of his death, now that is a show I want to see!

I cared because he was so passionate about what he did and what he believed in. It's a great loss to all even the animals.

I feel bad for his wife and children--it was a tragic thing to have happened.
...unfortunately, I think it was a long time coming. It was a fluke that he died by stingray, but I was worried that something would eventually get him as he was a bit too enthusiastic and not cautious enough.
