Why when I have paid taxes for 40+ years am I not entitled when living abroad?

As Ive paid upto 40% of my wages in taxes for over 40 + years why can't I get free medical health care from the UK systen now I'm moving to retire in Spain, When new EU imigrants are entitled to all benifits?
