I guess It's true that telemarketers can now call your cell phone. I got one last night and just read a question from someone else who did as well. I don't like this idea because even if it's an incoming call we pay for those minutes. What do you think about it?

And the 'do not call list' doesn't work. I had my home phone on the list and we still received them.

That's an interesting question. I get driven mad with constant calling a round tea/dinner time every day on my home phone but never on my cell phone. I wonder why that is. I do know there are people out there that sell lists of contact numbers to these sales types for profit. So matbe because it's all about money, it's cheaper to call you at home - maybe. Good question!

i used to work for a telemarketing company, and you have to re-register like every other year for the no call list or you can be called again, and as far as the cell phone, i used to get them on my cell too, but i signed up for the no call list and havne't gotten any since

I would contact your cell company and ask to be placed on the do not call list. If you recieve another call after this they can be fined. I would ask for information at the beginning of the call to make sure you have that when you advise the cell company so they can track it.

I had them call ALL the time. Next time they call, tell them that this is a cell phone and please do not call this number again..... then hang up. It worked for me. I also tell them they are calling a business, when I am at home. They said sorry and never called again. Plus, they have to stop calling if you tell them to, it's a law.

nonprofit organizations and charity solitcitations are not subject to the do-not-call list. I worked for an Alumni fund for my college, and we called alumni and those who attended asking for donations, and people would be like, "But I'm on the do-not-call list!" If they ask not to be called again then you won't be, and we can't call them anymore. Register your home and cell phone on the do-not-call list, and anyone that does ask that they add you to their list.

call your cell phone company and ask them to give you a block on your cell phone so that they cannot call you. If they don't provide this then see what options are available.

Telemarketers can not call your cell phone. If they do they are in voilation of FCC guidelines and can face stiff fees.

well, i'm on the do not call list, and the amount of garbage calls has dropped dramatically.

ifound one for you, this should do it.

most phones have caller id, if i don't recognize a number i don't answer it, if it's important they will leave a message.

i've gotten them too, i answered it, they asked who's this??? and i told them, if you're calling my cell you'd damn well better know me, or i'll call cops!!!! they never called back!! :)

Telemarketers are not allowed to call you if you tell them not to. Next time tell them not to call or they will be fined.
