The Republicans are spending money like a drunken liberal.

They represent such a wide spread of American voters, from moderate to ultra-conservative that they are fragmented and directionless, just like the Democratic party was from 1950 to 1976.

Calling oneself a Republican does not mean one is conservative. Unlike the Democratic Party, the Republican Party is relatively open to all comers. Many Republicans are liberals generally with one particularly salient conservative view. President Bush happens to not share the general Republican desire for a smaller government (neither, apparently, do a majority of Republican members of Congress).

A very good question, but I have been trying to figure out the definition of Republican and Democrat for years. The only conclusion that I have come up with is that both parties exist to serve themselves and ensure that they continue to dominate our two party political system.

Yes, there are other parties out there, but with the strangle hold that both the Democrats and Republicans have, it is no wonder that change flows as fast as molasses on a bitter cold winter day. Both parties seem content to bicker back and forth, make accusations, then take little or no action. I am fed up.

Yes, the Republican party has changed.

Kevin Philips discusses the 3 main coalitions that now comprise the Republican Party in his excellent book, "American Theocracy". The Republican Party, is full of : "ideological extremism, catastrophic fiscal irresponsibility, rampant greed and dangerous shortsightedness." Here's the NY Times book review that I've quoted:

Your thinking or openion of any Govt is also the same in my case.
What can we do?
We can not withdraw our votes.
Let us mind our own future for what it is going to be.
As for me the future is today.
I think we should all live by today.
Tomorrow never comes.

NO, Bush is a NEOLIB..... in many areas... and he is anti-American on the ILLEGAL ALIEN INVASION issue....

He has few conservative values..... but look at what the Democrats run as candidates for POTUS..... scum sucking lefties..... anti-American to the core.....

So, we are left with someone who will at least attempt to protect America instead of appologizing when we are attacked..... and, that takes money.... print more... print more.... be a Democrat.... print more money... buy the people... buy the people....

who knows what they are... there was a time once when at the very least, if you didn't agree with what Republicans had to say, you thought that they would watch over the pocketbook... not anymore...

Hey, you are correct.

That's why Republicans in general don't support him.

Only the blind and the deaf...and those whose IQ's are in the basement.

Bush represents so few people in this country, it isn't even funny.
