As far as political "party" goes, I'm ticked off with democrats and the GOP, as the saying goes, "a pox on both your houses!"
Here in Missouri, I will be voting for the Republican senator Talent. The Democrat McCaskill is super in the job she's doing now, but is too much a 'party' person for me, considering her party. Similarly, Roy Blunt is too much a 'party' person for me and he's Republican, so I will be looking over the alternatives closely--which includes Libertarians.
The Democrats have been dragging their feet, chanting tired liberal mantras, offering nothing reasonable, or often nothing at all in alternative. The Republicans supposedly have majorities in the House of Representatives and the Senate, but can't get anything substantial done because of Democratic party-line voting and a pile of Republicans that are really Democrats in disguise. Even then, the majority party can't act like the majority party and do anything, then maybe they don't deserve to be the majority party. On the other hand, the thoughts of wackos like Pelosi in power gives me the shivers.

I am a socialist
I tend to agree with the green party and SOME liberal democrats.
I believe there needs to be more equality for our citizens, especially when it concerns education, healthcare, housing and employment. (FDR thought the same thing, he wrote a 2nd bill of rights that actually would have granted us these and other rights)
You can have a socialist government while engaging in a capitalist economy - they are not one in the same. South America is a good example of that as many of the countries are moving towards that system. (They got tired of the US privitization of their countries and the people were suffering)
So yeah, I am very unhappy with where our country is headed, im excited yet scared to see what the future holds.....

Democrat party because as a person from a blue collar background, I feel their focus on issues here in the USA where many children do not eat everyday, old people cannot afford much needed medication and much more is addressed by the party.

That gives me a real problem because NO party represents me in total. I have things I agree with and disagree with every party. It comes down to a one-by-one candidate/elected official basis for me. All parties seem to make real attempts to go extreme measures on some issues, when the bulk of Americans are not extreme but middle of the road.

Liberal Party. Most liberal parties share the same views as me on the world, but if I find another party with policies that I like I'll go for them.
In the end it's not the name, but the ideas and policies they want to bring forth.
