Bulger or McNair?

Bulger was 19-of-34 for 185 yards Sunday. He and Torry Holt hooked up for the Rams' first touchdown of the season. Bulger admitted that the 2006 Rams offense is still a work in progress. "We're learning this new system," he said. "It's going to take time and reps."
Owners of Rams stars don't want to admit it, but this offense isn't going to click every time out this year. The struggles knock Bulger down to borderline starter status.

Baltimore will rely on a balanced attack to beat a Cleveland team. Look for the Ravens to establish the run early and draw the strong safety up close to the line of scrimmage. Once they do that, McNair will have his way with the Cleveland secondary, which has speed, but lacks good cover skills.

This should be fairly close, so you won't go terribly wrong with either.

Give Bulger another chance.

McNair and the Ravens looked terrible against the Raiders. They aren't moving the ball effectively. Cleveland's defense is better than the Raiders, so I think the it will be a big day for Stover and the field goal unit.

Arizona has done little to improve their secondary, and Bulger traditionally does well against them. Holt should go bobo.

If Bulger sucks again, you may need to start scrounging around, for maybe a Pennington, Leftwich, or Plummer bye week castoff.

Bulger! I like his matchup against Arizona this week. This game should be an offensive shootout from the gates. It wouldn't be outrageous to expect 300+ yards and several TDs from Bulger this week. Do it. Good luck.

McNair, but only because St. Louis is working towards a more balanced attack this year.
