well... the facts are... both parties have done their fair share here... and it sucks... the only difference is, it seems the republicans give them corporate welfare to help them move...
bored stiff... do you propose we do away with all business law and just pay everyone 5 cents an hour to keep up with the Chinese? Would that be a "better America"?
the Chinese regulate their own currency so that we can NEVER compete, REGARDLESS of what laws are or are not in place... as long as we have a free market system... and we grant them favored nation status, so there are few penalties to companies for moving... it's ridiculous and both democrats and republicans are doing it...

I was sitting next to an woman one time who was talking about her company and how they were moving jobs to India. She said, "the reason that all these jobs are going overseas is because the Republicans are in power". I paused for a second and then I told her, "I think you have that backward". I subsequently began to explain to her that the liberals are the ones that impose so many restrictions on business. Democrats are continually wanting to raise the minimum wage, impose excessive environmental legislation, are infamous for raising taxes when in power, are pro union and are generally anti-business. Two examples are California and New York. In California, a person can claim workers compensation for almost any type of issue. As a result, businesses pay almost 10 times the amount of workers compensation insurance per employee as in other states. Many businesses have left California and moved to neighboring Nevada just due to that cost. In New York, when Mario Cuomo was governor, taxes were so high that many business decided to just leave the state. When conditions are not hospitable- business leave and find other locations that are more suitable. Recently this has been a trend with companies moving parts or all of their operations overseas. As previously noted, The Democratic Party has been the party for raising the minimum wage, imposing excessive costly environmental legislation, votes to raise taxes, is pro union and has been anti-business. The Republican Party has always been in favor of deregulation, lowering taxes, letting the economy dictate wages and creating legislation that is pro business Now- you tell me who is to blame for companies moving jobs overseas

Why do you single out Republicans on this issue? it is very short sighted to believe that every business that has moved overseas is run by republicans.
There are many reasons for jobs going overseas, none of them easy to understand. The easiest, though, is probably profit. If I can get someone overseas to do the same job as an american at half (or more likely one third) of the cost, it means my company will make more money.

In a international financial gadget it is largely all the same. including fee to an merchandise the place it could maximum effectively and effectively be extra is clever to everyone whose pastimes are something different than political. The complexity in touch in markets and production can't be defined wisely in a Yahoo answer. Boeing is our greatest exporter. whilst it sells some billion money worth of plane to an distant places shopper (this is maximum individuals of their marketplace) it oftentimes arranges to have countless the producing carried out interior the procuring u . s .. that still works with distant places manufacturers merchandising to the U.S. you have considered countless the Honda, Kia, Mercedes Benz, Hyundai, and so on, plant life in this u . s .. i'm not a Republican, yet all of my Republican associates comprehend this. subsequently, in keeping with my adventure set, you're in all risk not a Republican considering the fact which you don't comprehend the complexities in touch in a international marketplace.

Unfortunately the "free trade" supporters are not of one party in particular. President Clinton began this unpleasent trend by pushing for passage of NAFTA through a bipartisan vote in congress in 1994. About the only people in Washington I know who are dead set against it are the most conservative of the Republican caucus. There are no conservative Democrats of course since they were all forced out of the party, so pretty much the entire Democratic caucus is for it with the possible exception of a few on the "lunatic left" but they have so discredited themselves with their other views that they have no clout in the party. Its sad, but protectionism has become 'passe' I am afraid.

My unprofessional guess is that they are attracted to the concept of real cheap labor and they like the fact that if they start a business they can get people to work for two or three dollars per hour. Their goal is to have most Americans who are not rich have to work for about 6 dollars per hour so they can start more businesses here and "be competitive" as they say. But you notice they do not plan to work for that rate themselves.

Don't be ignorant we don't want all jobs overseas. However, the way labor unions operate here in the US it won't be soon. No even with labor unions there are many over sea company's that want in because of their own socialist driven society's.

It's called cronyism. And republicans aren't the only party guilty of this. It's rampant in politics in general.
