Just becasue i speak the english language in a sophisticated manner, ppl immediately assume i like classical music. As if!!!

Now that's a new one. I have never heard the connection between proper speech and classical music. There is nothing wrong with appreciating classical music so its really not an issue. Oh, and I don't believe saying "as if" would qualify as speaking in a sophisticated manner.

Hey, I hope you DO grow to like classical music. It is so enriching and so intelligent.
Stereotypes are everywhere. I'm a classical musician, and I fight with people's rediculous stereotypes of us all the time. The "snob" thing, the "oh you must be in an orchestra" thing (WRONG I'm not!)

But I did know someone who was common and he used to listen to classical music now how sick is that!
We all do it, I love to pigeon hole peolpe to what you think they should/could like by the way they are dressed etc.

i speak "posh" as well (through a mix of accents) the first time I meet people the presume I am a snob which I really am not but I think it is just human nature

thats the same for african-american, latino,preepy and many other people. people think we are so dangerous. i dont understand why. we need to get to know the person for ourselfe and then judge on their characrter.
