Mike Vick is something new. Football started out as an all running sport. The came the forward pass era, and then came the running quarterback. "Analyst" like to fit athletes into boxes, and you really can't with Vick. I hope that he is successful just to shake things up.

I love the way he plays but there are people who wants Vick to be something he's not. A 300 yard passer. Vick is more like a 150 yards passing and about 80+ yards rushing with 1 rushing and one passing touchdown a game. He is one of the most entertaining and athletically gifted players in the league. Plus he's faster then most WR, RB and DB

the people who hate mike vick are kinda stupid.....hes a great athlete and wins games and makes things happen with his legs...so what if hes not a pure passer like the rest of the quarterbacks.....thats who he is and he should do what makes him feel comfortable.........but saying that opposing defenses that shut down the run can be a problem for him.....so what he should do is work on his accuracy and consistency then he would be more of a duel threat that he is
also i wanna say that he makes his team good and his supporting cast isnt the best........they dont have any great wide receivers that they can be extreamly greatful about.........sure there receivers are decent and good but nothing too special to brag about...........except alge crumpler who is a great pass catching tight end........and another reason why warrick dunn is so good is because mike vick opens up the threat of running outside which makes teams have to spread there defence which opens holes for warrick dunn.........anyone who doubts me should have listened to john madden commenting on the redskins and cowboys game when he said that T.J. duckett would have been better with a michael vick because he spreads the defence and makes ducketts job of banging up the middle super easy
so all in all yes its true that vick should be more consistent with his passing and more accurate so he wouldnt throw so many interceptions but still he does so much more with his legs which wins games for the falcons and he helps his team out a lot with his running threat.......if he had better wide outs then they would be unstopable not that im a die hard falcon fan like you lol

I don't think anybody hates him. But I have believed from day 1, that he is the fastest, most elusive player in the NFL. So why is he playing a position where his job is to GIVE the ball away?? I would make him running back / receiver / kick returner and any other way I could get him the ball in the open field. He has just as good a chance of getting hurt playing QB than any of those positions.

Well people just feel that he's not a QB, and I tend to agree with them...he's a hell of an athlete and a great runner, but I dislike his style of passing and the lack of progress in the passing attack he offers to a team. In games against run defenses and/or fast defenses..Vick is more or less useless to the team and his passing attack is then what the team relies on more, and I wouldn't trust him doing that if I were the coach. He wins games...yes...but he wont win many playoff games without a good passing attack.
Do I hate him? No, he's fun to watch at times...Just like Peyton Manning...can't hate a player...but when they play your team, they can certainly be a bother.

I dont think anyone hates him. He is probobly the most Gifted and Dynamic Player on the Football Field today. People just want him to show it. He's had good numbers so far but they are not as good as they could go. He needs to throw a bit more and run a bit less. (The Dono McNabb Route) He will last longer in the league and with his cannon arm could be a great Qb rather then a good Qb

No hate here....just he is a great athlete and highly over rated QB...seeing him run that old time double wing O last week so well just confirmed that..Falcons would be better served in the long run bringing in a better true NFL QB and using Vick as a RB/WR/KR/PR.....

So how long have you had this persecution complex?
I don't know anyone that hates Vick. He's not your typical NFL QB, and it's taken the Falcons a while to figure out how to use him. He's not the world's best fantasy QB.

Everybody hates a Qb who can run when he plays against you.
I remember like 2-3 years ago when Texas played Michigan for the Rose Bowl.Vince Young ran all over us that game...I hated him so bad but when he played USC in last years National Championship,I really admired his athletic ability and how damn good he was.
DONT HATE SOMEONE BECAUSE HE IS GOOD!

The problem has been with Mike Vick in the past, that he wasn't accurate, and that he would rather run than pass.
I saw no problem with this, because they seemed to win when he ran.
