Well only recently did I start to gain personall confidence... not around people I knew ( family, husband, close friends) but when in public I always felt inferiour to those around me... until.... I took a step back and realized that my life is no different than theirs...and they haven't talked to me before so why should I care if they talk to me now? So as time goes on (and this is a QUICK change) you hold your shoulders back more, look them in the eye and smile and keep on your buisiness. Pretty soon (and for me this whole process took about a month) THEY are the ones saying HI to you and chatting with you in the store or where ever you may be. I think the key is... no matter what you feel like wether you feel inferior or less of a person than anyone around you, NEVER let them know it. Don't be a snot but act like you are all pulled together and for some reason people are attracted to that and makes them want to talk to you. Not sure if this will work for you but it sure did for me.

i would say that i do face quite a no. of issues that undermine my confidence as i just started my business. i mean when the prospect turns up, i thought i am seeing some hope out there but it turns out to be false alarm. but all in all, i would say that even successful ppl also face problems like we do, more severe and critical! thus be positive is the remedy. u will never be able to do with all the negative affects of feelings but u do become stronger and more confidence as u tackle success. so move on! if we sit still, we can continue to be in the same spot for yrs! good luck!

i don't think you can one day wake up and just grab some confidence. i think confidence comes when you finally come to terms with yourself and realize that you aren't perfect and that it's okay with you, and you can still live your life without being so unsure in yourself and just be the best you can be. delight in your weaknesses.
