Don't really want pampering things as they don't normally get used. She'll have a million baby things already!

Good ideas for gift certificates

Get them for places that do also sell baby items as even though she will have a ton of stuff given to her there will something she will want or need that she will feel is too much etc...

Another idea is babysitting coupons and a certificate for dinner for her and her husband...

So basically you babysit the kiddos while she and hubby get a night out or even a night away in a hotel or even just at home

A good night sleep and some alone time are precious when you have a new baby.

Good Luck

Book her a day of pampering rather than buying pamper products. Arrange a baby sitter. Something like hairdressers, massage, makeover, manicure, or good old retail therapy. Remember to allow her a while after the birth because she won't want to leave her baby at first, maybe give it 6 weeks.

The thing that a new mums needs more than anything else is sleep!!! So helping her as much as possible either with chores so she's not doing this when the baby is napping or look after the baby for a while and let her have a rest.

id say, get another relative to babysit or the dad and take her out to buy new clothes bc she isnt going to fit in ur old ones, it woudl give her a break from and baby and time to spend with you having fun. Also, maybe specialty coffee bc she'll be up early after staying up late with the baby. and maybe a gift card to a general store like target, bc after buying so many diapers and ect. she'll most likely be running low on money. another good gift w oudl be her favorite candy or treat, so when she does have a break she can veg. out a bit. another thing that owuld be nice woudl be a scrapbook or a pic from of the two of you, like a friendship gift. i hope this helped

As a mum of 3 toddlers there is only one present she would want but feel bad to ask for...that's time off! use your computer and draw up some funny babysitting iou vouchers for her to have a break! Even just a little nap is heaven, that would be the perfect gift.

Not sure what your budget is, but what I would have loved the most is a cleaning service for those first few weeks. Then she can really feel like she can nap when she needs to and she won't worry about the house being a mess when everyone stops over. Or, you could make a bunch of meals at Dream Dinners and bring them to her to keep in her freezer.

it depends on what she likes. if she like shoes get her a gift certif to a shoe store. something like that. or you can get her a really comft pair of PJs that she can wear when she is really pregnant and uncomfortable.
my mom had a cute idea. she made and apointment for a spa with her and her friend for after the baby was born. like the whole thing the pedicure manicure and facial make over the whoooole thing. i thought it was a good idea because new moms always feel crappy and want to look pretty again!

I know when I had a new baby, I would have loved someone to bring me a meal, or just sweep the floor, do dished or vacuum. Those are the things you just can't do when you're a new mom with a c-section to recover from.
All these people suggesting you give her getaway time... that's all well and good, but most new moms do NOT want to leave their babies.
And don't visit too long!

Just an idea, but how about making a bunch of frozen meals for her. New babies can take up a lot of time, and it might be nice for her to be able to pop something in the oven for dinner rather than have to make it herself.
Other than that, a massage gift certificate or something to that effect is a nice idea also.
Hope this helps.

A gift cert. for Victorias Secret!! My friend got that from someone when she had her baby, and when she was a couple months old we left her with her gramma, and went shopping for girly stuff! It was a good time and made my friend feel pampered!! And everyone can always use undies!! :)

Good luck deciding, and also to the new mommy!!
