I am pregnant but still have my period. But my period this month is a bit strange, especially today. Don't read if you can't handle it in detail.... :) It's a brighter red than usual. And also has small clumps the size half a pinky nail. The clumps worry me. I was just curious if anyone had there period during pregnancy before and if this isn't something I shouuld worry about. I'm going to the hospital in a few days, but I just wanted to see if anyone had this before also?

These people are not doctors! The only one who can tell you that you are miscarrying is a DOCTOR. I know you are worried right now so YES it would be best to go see a doctor. I had a friend who had HEAVY periods until her 7 month of pregnancy. So, it can be many different things. However, the clumps would worry me enough to go see a doctor. I hope everything works out for you!!

I would be definatley checking with my Dr...you could be having a miscarriage with the small clumps...then again if you had the same thing last time you were pregnant and it was nothing...I wouldn't worry.

The best way to ease your mind is to call your doctor or go to the hospital. I would tend to say that clumps which are probably blood clots are not normal to be having. So call your docotr, they want to know every change that goes on with you anyway!

If I were you, I would making an appointment to see my physician immediately. Have you been told the placement of the placenta? Have you been told if you have a placenta previa, which is when the placenta emplants over the cervix. If that is the case, then your baby is loosing the necessary blood he or she needs. Get checked out immediately.
