how do i figure out the URL for an image if it's not listed under "properties" ?

Try right clicking and copy image location and then go to a txt document and press Ctrl V for paste and see if you can't see it there.

Under normal circumstances, images NEED URLs to be displayed. There are some exceptions (Flash, etc.), but if you're not under this situation, it should be visible.

Under IE, right-click the image and look at the properties. The URL will be besides the Address (URL) field.

A good way to see it is to use Firefox. Under the Tools menu, select Page information. Then, under the Media tab, you'll see all media of the page (images, videos, etc.). Find your image and you'll see its URL.
