I graduated from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview Texas with a BS in Education with a minor in History. I am a grad student now and I am also doing some subbing. I took a job with the university to get me through grad school and then it out into the work force. I wife graduated last year from the same school and is teaching 4th grade and she loves it.

I went to Indiana University. I subbed for two years and now I am an instructional assistant. Depending on where you live, or if you are willing to move, will factor into the ease of getting a classroom job. In some states teaching is really political and you can only get a job after some time in the district, or if you have connections. Teaching can have its moments, but I love teaching and can't imagine that I would do anything else. Good luck in your endeavors.
