Heather S., a good way to remove any odor from a car and freshen up the interior is the following:

Take some shop rags (clean) and spray them thoroughly with Lemon Pledge, usually two or three will work. Place them under the seats of the car and close all the windows tightly and shut the doors and leave overnight. The next morning the odors will be gone and the car will have a nice citrus smell. Be sure to just discard the shop rags.

Good luck

as said before coffee, but I've always had more luck setting coffee grounds in a coffee filter and putting it under your seats or somewhere on the floor and out of the way. Leave it in your car for a week or two and then take it to a carwash that has one of those carpet cleaners. It helps to mask the smell and then remove it.

I used to rent cars for a living

1-get some dryer sheets(cheap is good)
leave them in the car overnight with all the windows up..

2-get some baking soda and sprinkle it all over..vacuum after 30 minutes..

3-clean the windows..they have tobacco on them and will leave an odour..

its cheap since you probably have everything on hand..It works too...

Look for an air freshener called Ozium. It is in a little metal white and blue can. I always found it at car washes. Workes great, everyone always said my car smelled good and I smoked in it.
