If you believe you are sick you can be sick...but Dr.'s are smarter than you think...I want to know why...

Many people do.
I remember one memorable patient who was on blood thinners for life threatening clots in her lungs, who had a vaginal prolapse and also was a self harmer.
Her favourite way of getting into hospital was to pull her vaginal prolapse out and cut at it. Cut and cut and cut and she would bleed and bleed and bleed.
THEN she would come to hospital!
*rolls eyes*
She would be anaemic and require a transfusion.
If she wasn't anaemic enough she would run away and cut some more and come back.
If her blood wasn't thin enough she would run away and take some more blood thinners and come back later.
But you see ... to want to get yourself sick enough to be hospitallized, you usually have something else going on in the first place.

There is nothing worth deliberately making yourself sick over. In fact, I know a guy who is constantly deliberately doing things to hurt himself trying to make people feel sorry for him when in fact he gets more help thrown at him than many honest working people see in their lives.
Needless to say, I am not at all impressed with this guy.
