Balder's Gate....?

I never really played many video games but Balder's Gate really kicks ***!!! I've beat Dark Alliance 1 and now i'm in the middle of 2. Anyone else love it? What's the best character to play on 2?

On BaldUr's Gate 2 I think the necromancer is the best character to play through on single mode. He can raise the dead to fight for him, come on, how much better does that get??
