I saw her on the bus stop from across the busy city street. She was a stunning Redhead. A real head turner. She was tall and curvey in all the right places. She was a long cool woman in a black dress. I was suprised that she was not stopping traffic, but I guess that there are plenty of beautiful women in the city. .As I crossed the street, I was drawn to her. I walked closer. Her piercing green eyes met mine. All I could think was that this could be the last time our paths ever cross .I was not planning on riding the bus. I was only going two blocks to work. I found myself standing next to her on the bus stop.I was prepared to get on any bus she boarded, just to be near her a little longer. A bus pulled up to the stop, she arose to get on. As she started up the steps on the bus, she lost her footing and fell backwards. I was there to catch her. " I got you babe", I said. She looked at me. I was a stranger, but It was as if two soulmates were seeing each other for the first time. Our glance was frozen in time, and those 10 seconds seemed to last forever. As I was getting on the bus, my Brother-in-law was passing, and called my name.. He had married my sister Laura, the only family that I had left in the world. I called back over my shoulder "tell Laura I love her," and boarded the bus. My redhead and I sat close, and shared deep thoughts, like friends who had known each other all our lives. I finally told her that I had never believed in love at first sight till there was you. We were interrupted by the bus driver asking us for our tickets. She was fumbling for hers. So I said to the bus driver, please don't kick her off, she's got a ticket to ride. She just misplaced it. He was a nice guy.
It has been twenty years since I ran off and married that fiery redheaded long cool woman in a black dress, and she is as beautiful today as she was that cool fall day on the city bus stop.

There's nothing I enjoy more than a long cool woman in a black dress. The other day, to my amazement, there she was. She was standing at the counter. But now, she's got a ticket to ride the train to some distant city where I'll never see her again. I knew I couldn't let this happen. I knew this could be the last time that I ever saw her. I dropped everything and ran to the counter. I told the ticket man that I just had to have a ticket to wherever she was going. He told me and I paid my fare. As she boarded the train, she almost dropped her bag. I said "it's alright, I got you babe". I grabbed her bag and her arm and helped her board the train. She was so thankful for my help, that she asked me to have lunch with her in the diner car. Of course, I agreed. Over our meal, we made small talk. Finally, she asked about a woman in my life. I simply replied, "there was nobody till there was you". The rest of the trip, we became very familiar and comfortable with each other. It seemed like second nature. Finally, we made it to our destination. I was so happy and so was she. It was short lived though, as the men with the little white coats were there waiting for me to exit the train. Before I knew it, they were carting me away. I tried to get away, but it was of no use. Instead, all I could do was yell over my shoulder, "tell Laura I love her". I saw my woman get smaller in the distance and eventually disappear. Now all I have are my memories and those good drugs they give me to stay happy!!
