Whenever I use cars.com a flag appears on some items
indicating that the browser popup protection needs to be
disabled for this application. How do I temporarily disable
the popup protection on yahoo or am I not understanding
the problem?

It could be that the popup blocker is keeping you from seeing the vehicle details at the bottom of the screen when you search.
Try holding down the Ctrl button when you click on a link. Click+Ctrl is the standard way of disabling popup blockers on a per-click basis.

Scroll the tool bar near your security you will find the pop up blocker click on it and you will have then disabled it

hey man if you are using a yahoo toolbar rhen its easy from search web go to the third button to the right side. there right click on it and disable the pop ups

on the yahootoolbar click on pop up blocker and turn it off.
